Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in providing protection systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.
